I hang out and care for little ones at my house during the day so that parents can feel calm and confident knowing their child is in good hands! We focus on play here at Squash and Blossom. My philosophy is a mix of RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) and attachment parenting. I'm located centrally in the Kensington neighborhood in San Diego, 92116. I specialize in infants and toddlers. I cook homemade meals from my local CSA produce delivery every week.

At Alexa’s PLAYC (Playful Learning Academy for Young Children), we provide a nurturing, inclusive, play-based preschool program for children aged 18 months to 5 years, welcoming both those with autism spectrum disorder and typically developing peers. Offered through Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego and Murrieta, our program celebrates each child’s individuality and empowers them to explore through hands-on, self-directed play. Serena's Smiling Sun is a Licensed Family Childcare/Daycare located in San Diego, UTC/UC area, California (License # 37662811). It provides care for children newborn to 4 years of age, 5 days a week (or even 2 or 3 days a week. I also accept a daily drop-in if I have availability) from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. I serve warm nutritious meals, snack, and lunch daily. I am bilingual in Italian and English, and a happy mother of two wonderful girls (19 and 21 years old). I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, and I have several years of experience working with young children. Having a family Childcare/Daycare is the realization of a dream for me. Caring for children has always been my passion! My Childcare/Daycare provides a wonderful atmosphere for your child, in a clean, spacious, and well-equipped environment, where the children learn while having fun.
