Laura's Nature School

Early childhood education and guiding children toward a love of learning has a special place in my heart. I am inspired to create spaces for inspiration, nature exploration, and wonder based learning for children and their families in my community. Several years ago, I won The National Family Childcare Provider of the Year Award and I continue to pursue ECE opportunities that are unique and valuable. In continuing with higher education and professional achievements, quality learning spaces are designed within best practices for children. Encouraging children's love for wonder and modeling healthy relationships builds a strong foundation for social, emotional, academic, and physical growth. I create experiences where families feel valued, children love to attend, and everyone returns to visit. Often, you will see past graduates come back to volunteer when they are older. I treasure these lifelong connections with families. It is what I truly love about this work.

Little Lab Preschool

We use Science and Math to teach children critical thinking, problem solving and literacy skills. Every child gets their own set of materials so they can explore in the only way they know--their way! When they're finished exploring, there's always the play portion--a must for all children!

Harmony School Christian Early Childhood Center

We began in 1978 with a pilot program of 12 children in one classroom at a church facility. Today we enjoy over 16,000 square feet of Fun. Harmony School was built in 1931 and functioned as a grammar school for many years, then sat empty until we had the opportunity to make it our own. With 6 classrooms, music room, full-sized gym, and playground, we create new ways each year to experience the joys of learning, playing, and challenging preschoolers. At Harmony School we know that this will be your child's introduction to school. We want it to be a positive start that generates an eagerness for learning and confidence in social interactions. Our qualified staff demonstrates a sincere love for children and a committed desire to teach. Each child is considered special and unique. What makes us unique? We are not a day care facility. We are a school, so our emphasis is to focus on the whole child while challenging individual growth. There are 2 scheduled parent/teacher conferences to discuss the observed readiness and development of each child, offering direction and encouragement to parents. Experience. We have the very unusual advantage of creating a team that has worked together for many years to refine a curriculum that brings the best and most creative ideas to each classroom.

Young Peoples Learning Center
