Loving Care Day Nursery Inc. was established to meet the social, creative and intellectual needs of children in the Washington Metropolitan area. Owners Anthony and Annie Pankey have been providing children with loving care, unique learning experiences and a positive environment since 1974. At Loving Care Day Nursery Inc., we offer the basic insight into a child's curiosity for being creative, exploring new ideas and using all the basic sensory skills.
St. Paul's Nursery School has been operating for over 45 years, has two classes and a total of 25 children. Both classes have two highly qualified teachers, providing a rich, loving experience for young children.
Current openings for 3-5 year olds! We provide quality care for children ages 3 months until kindergarten. Our center offers warm, friendly, professionally-organized, unique child care in the heart of the nation's capital, just steps from Union Station in Washington, D.C. We strive to create a loving community of children, parents, teachers, and friends. Our staff include talented, highly trained, and academically credentialed teachers who nurture and facilitate integrated learning, following a child's own rhythms. Our responsive teachers understand that children are learning all the time through active and purposeful involvement with people, materials, and ideas. We use the Creative Curriculum, a play-orientated, child-initiated approach. The Creative Curriculum fosters a dynamic environment to satisfy the young child's natural sense of wonder, sociability, eagerness to explore and problem solve, enthusiasm for quality literature, and aptitude to learn through play. In addition to classroom experiences, children play on our large, private outdoor playground, go on neighborhood walks, and have the option to take field trips to exciting destinations. We also offer enrichment programs in Spanish, music, and gymnastics. We see parents and teachers as partners, and value close, regular, and open communication. The 18th Street Early Learning Center is a licensed and special place; the center is small enough for your child to receive the individualized care and attention they need. We have teachers who have received their CDA, associate's, or bachelor's degree, along with years of experience, to help your child excel academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our center hours are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm; we are closed on holidays and for staff training. We provide nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and a snack. We are a part of Capital Quality, which is part of an accreditation system. We care for infants from six weeks to almost four years of age in Pre-kindergarten. Children participate in hands-on activities within a nurturing and supportive environment. We provide learning areas such as dramatic play, construction and blocks, art, science, music, STEM activities, manipulatives, letter recognition and sounds, counting and number recognition, color recognition, and shape recognition.
