River Academy Preschool and Learning Center has been built in response to the need in our community for high quality Early Childhood Education for young children. Just For Kids is the Boise School District's child care program for children between the ages of 6 and 12. The program provides transportation, nutritional food and homework assistance services. It assists to develop social skills, good manners and positive character traits. Just For Kids organizes sessions in reading, singing and dancing. The program s kindergarten readiness activities include phonemic awareness, letter recognition, rhyming, matching and graphing. It conducts classes in science, math, computer technology, cooking and art for students in grades one through six. Just For Kids additionally organizes parent and child activity events and physical fitness exercise sessions. The program additionally hosts field trips to parks, museums and zoos. At Kangaroo Clubhouse we recognize and respect the uniqueness of each child.The Center's primary mission is to foster a love of learning in each child. We give each child support and encouragement to become his or her own unique self. Through project-based learning, clubhouse students tackle academic curriculum in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and adaptable to a variety of learning styles and fun. Our curriculum weaves 33 research-based skills into playful games and projects. As children participate, they naturally grow in all areas of development, including social-emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development.
