First Step is a long-standing not-for-profit child care center caring for children ages 6 weeks through 11 years. We have provided care since our inception in 1972. We are the only non-profit child care in our area.
Donald C. Parker Early Education Center provides opportunities for parent involvement and education. The school offers an early childhood program that provides instruction for exceptional children between the ages of 3 to 5. Its curriculum includes art, physical education, music, reading and writing. Donald C. Parker Early Education Center s parent resource room offers books, educational toys, and the parent and child classes. The school s learning center provides information on libraries and books. It also has a multipurpose room that is used to provide opportunities for children to develop movement skills. Located in Machesney Park, Ill., Donald C. Parker Early Education Center is governed by Harlem School District 122.
