Learning through intentional play is not a trend. It has deep roots in early-childhood education, from the very first kindergarten classrooms to today's research on how young brains develop. Across more than a century, one idea keeps holding up: young children learn best when they are active, curious, connected, and engaged. That is why blocks, stories, songs, pretend play, art, outdoor movement, and hands-on discovery are not extras at Leap. They are the building blocks of language, math, problem-solving, self-control, confidence, and kindergarten readiness. It is the same foundation the field's leading authority is built on: the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) centers its developmentally appropriate practice on active, playful, relationship-rich learning.
