The Vivian Olum Child Development Center is a community where children are nourished, parents are welcomed, and care givers feel valued. The mission of the Vivian Olum Child Development Center is to provide comprehensive high quality programs of early childhood development for the children of University faculty and staff, as well as the Eugene community. At Sprouting Sunflower Child Care LLC, our philosophy is centered on nurturing the whole child through Montessori and Waldorf inspired principles. We believe in creating a safe and enriching environment where children can explore their interests at their own pace. By blending hands on experimental learning with creative expression and nature-based activities, we encourage curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Our approach fosters emotional resilience and social skills, empowering each child to flourish as they grow, much like a sunflower reaching for the sun.
