Arizona Youth and Family Services ( AYFS ) is a community-based, child and family centered agency serving the greater Phoenix area. This program provides strength-based behavioral health services designed to assist children and adolescents with moderate-to-severe behavioral problems in maintaining their current living situation or moving to a more desirable placement. Our lead staff has over 30 years experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, young adults and families.

Our approach to care is based on traditional Jewish values, but that does not mean we only serve Jewish families. JFCS programs and services include: counseling, mental health assessment and treatment, early childhood trauma assessment and treatment, child crisis intervention and rehabilitative services, support for victims of domestic violence, substance abuse, work force readiness & high school equivalency exams for teens in foster care.

Founded in 1892, The Valley of the Sun YMCA is one of the largest nonprofit human services agencies in the state of Arizona offers after-school and preschool programs for more than 3,000 children everyday in over 70 locations throughout Phoenix. The agency conducts classes in arts and humanities. It organizes wellness programs for physical fitness and character development. The Valley of the Sun YMCA provides assistance with leadership, learning and problem solving skills. The agency offers counseling to develop age-appropriate social skills, maintain self-esteem and not engage in antisocial behaviors. It also conducts sessions in swimming lessons and water safety and water sports skills. The Valley of the Sun YMCA additionally hosts state-licensed day camps that feature a curriculum, including horseback riding, field trips and adventurous activities.
