Calvary is a Christian church in the evangelical protestant tradition, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our desire is to be Christ's Church in this place: a living community of worship that is caring, serving, witnessing and maturing into the people God wants us to be. We gather each Sunday morning for worship at 8:10, 9:40 and 11:15am, and also at many other times throughout each week for learning, fellowship and service.

First Church exists to promote the Kingdom of God by praising God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit ; being a household of God for all who wish to be a part of our church family ; learning from God's Word in order to grow in our faith ; enabling members to witness and serve in our neighborhood and in a needy world. In four words: Praising, Growing, Caring, Serving First Christian Reformed Church has been an active part of Grand Rapids for 150 years and at this location for nearly 90 years. Today we are a group of people of various ages and from assorted backgrounds. What holds us together is the love of God in Jesus Christ and a common commitment to share that love through the Holy Spirit here in Grand Rapids. We are part of the Christian Reformed Church, begun in 1857 on this continent, but with deep roots both in the European Reformation and in the ancient faith of the Church. In service to our community we seek to honor Jesus and to give new voice to the truth of His love passed through many centuries and in many cultures.
