The city of Pueblo, Colorado began life as a simple plaza with adobe structures known as El Pueblo or simply Fort Pueblo in the year 1842. Initially intended as a settlement and place for trade and commerce, the town enjoyed a great spell of golden years. Pueblo also thrived with the advent of the Colorado Gold Rush of 1858 and 1859, roping in business owners from all across the country to its boundaries. Today, the city has built itself up as a booming hub for steel production and processing that attracts a surge of visitors especially during the Colorado State Fair. Some of the city's prime attractions are the Rosemount Museum, Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, and the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk. Today, Pueblo hosts the eventful Colorado State Fair every summer.
