Thought-provoking to say the least, this center features futuristic architecture that symbolizes the joining of two hands. With over 30,000 square feet (2,787 square meters) of space, the museum hosts a variety of exhibits that explores the footsteps of American Civil Rights activists and movements. The King Center was built to commemorate the contributions of the civil rights activist and leader Martin Luther King Jr. The memorabilia and artifacts displayed here give visitors a sneak peak into the life of this eminent personality and his ideologies. The center contains his crypt which was moved from the South- View Cemetery. There is an Eternal Flame symbolizing the hope of Dr. King that lives on. The Freedom Hall contains major exhibits and a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Frequented by eager tourists and students, this place provides an interesting and educating experience.
