Friends of the Pima County Public Library accepts donations Monday - Saturday, 9am - Noon. We have monthly book sales (see website for dates and times), the proceeds of which go to fund programs for the Pima County Public Library system. For the 2022-2023, Fiscal Year, Friends donated $240,000 to the library.

The library operates programs on solar energy in partnership with Tucson Electric Power. It is visited by more than 4 million people annually. The library conducts storytime programs and maintains meeting rooms. The Pima County Public Library operates a summer reading club and organizes various cultural events. The library also conducts lectures and presentations. It maintains an assistive technology room that features workstations for individuals with visual impairments and other disabilities. The library provides online tutorial and homework assistance services for students. In addition, the Pima County Public Library offers digital books. It is funded by the government of Pima County in Arizona.
