The Louisville Public Library may not be the largest library in Boulder, but it is one of the nicest. The building even won a national architecture award in 2007. Conveniently located in downtown Louisville, the library is separated into clear sections for meetings, events, adults, young adults and children. The young adult room has a reputation as the best place for study groups and as a free hang out. The children's library rivals the Boulder Public Library in terms of variety and selection. The Louisville library also features an inter-library loan system. Patrons can find almost any book no mater where it is located within Colorado.
We lend nearly 8 million books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, e-books and audiobooks every year, including more children's materials than any other Colorado library. Our seven locations offer a large collection of popular materials; children's books; reference materials; downloadable audio, video and e-books; wireless access; public internet stations; and friendly, professional staff. We also provide online access to Douglas County History and community information. We offer reading programs for all ages, more than 75 Storytimes each week, children's and teen writing groups, book clubs, and a variety of interesting programs that engage, educate and entertain patrons of all ages. Study rooms and large meeting rooms are available to the public.
