Soule Branch Library

Soule Branch Library is one of two City Libraries open Sundays during the school year. The library has a large and varied collection of adult, teen and children's books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, and numerous newspaper and magazine subscriptions for borrowing. Many items are also available to download or stream on a variety of devices. Databases for research are accessible both in the library and remotely. Soule Branch offers technology access and training for adults, job search and resume assistance and one-on-one instruction for personal computers, tablets, resumes, e-readers and more. Please call the library to book your one hour session with a librarian. The library has a number of computers for public use as well as free Wi-Fi access. Copy, fax and scanning services are also available. Lectures, workshops, musical entertainment and art displays are also among Soule's programmatic offerings.

The Syracuse University Library consists of eight libraries, which are spread throughout the campus. These are the E.S. Bird (main) Library; the science and technology, mathematics, physics and geology libraries; the H. Douglas Barclay Law Library; the Martin Luther King Jr. Library; and the architecture reading room. An interesting footnote on the library system: it added the first book in its collection, Benjamin Tucker s Epitome of Ancient & Modern History, in 1871. The collection now numbers more than 2.5 million volumes, and Tucker s book is still one of them.
