Berkeley Organizing Congregations for Action is a non-profit, faith-based organization of 18 member congregations representing over 10,000 Berkeley families.
We are a non-profit that offers a full range of free services to women with cancer and their loved ones. Many services are also available to men with cancer and male family members. We offer support groups, a helpline, information, psychotherapy for low-income women, in-home assistance for low-income women, and emergency fund, wellness workshops from cooking to yoga, a library, an art gallery and much more. We offer services in Spanish for Alameda and Contra Costa counties. We also have a Sister to Sister program for African American women with cancer.
