The No Can Left Behind Project (NCLBP) is a nonprofit organization with a simple mission: to make donated food not only available, but usable. Canned food is one of the most common items donated to food pantries and community organizations, but there’s an often-overlooked problem—not everyone receiving those cans has a reliable way to open them. Without a can opener, a donated meal may remain just out of reach. NCLBP helps close that gap by collecting and distributing can openers to people and organizations serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. We also support canned-food donations and partner with food pantries, businesses, community groups, volunteers, and neighbors who want to make a practical difference. Our work is built around a simple idea: sometimes meaningful change starts by noticing a small need others may overlook. We want donated food to reach people with what they need to actually use it.
