Strong City Baltimore's mission is to build and strengthen neighborhoods and people. Strong City works to reinforce the pillars of vibrant urban living: safe streets, desirable and diverse housing stock, quality public schools, a robust and educated workforce, and a deep sense of civic engagement. Much like the neighborhoods we serve, our programs are interconnected and bolster our holistic approach to fulfilling our mission.
Live Baltimore is the most comprehensive organization focused on Baltimore City Living. We exist for one reason - to market the City of Baltimore as a great place to live. Our goal is to grow the City's population. To facilitate that, we provide a lot of education and marketing outreach to the public so they'll know the facts about city living. We search for those with the "urban gene" and invite them to be a part of our City!
Founded in 1945 by Lutherans in the U.S., Lutheran World Relief is an international aid and development organization that partners with communities to grow inclusive and climate resilient rural economies, reduce poverty, and respond to emergencies and crises. Lutheran World Relief is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization, and part of the Corus International family of nonprofits and businesses.
The Claude C Thornton Foundation is a 501C3 nonprofit organization focused on building and empowering our community, socially and economically, through programming, advocacy, and events. Most notably, the CCT Foundation hosts an annual Blossoms Blooming Brunch to honor community mentors and offers the Clarinet Scholarship to rising sophomores studying STEM or related fields. The Foundation also intends to host the inaugural Greater Baltimore Climate Summit on November 12th, 2024!
