Aftenro is a non-profit senior Board and Care facility that bridges the gap between assisted living and skilled nursing care. Included in the daily rate is 24-hour professional nursing service provided by RNs, LPNs, and registered nursing assistants. Services such as oxygen use, diabetic care and others are provided as ordered by each resident's personal physician. Assistance in bathing and other activities of daily living such as dressing and grooming are also provided. Nursing care is designed to meet the needs and preferences of each resident.
The Building for Women is an organization that promotes the safety, dignity and empowerment of women. The organization annually serves more than 30,000 women, children and men in northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan, as well as Ontario. It hosts community gatherings, fundraisers, political action events and professional conferences. The Building for Women offers office, meeting and conference facilities to various nonprofit organizations on a rental basis. In addition, the organization hosts art, entertainment, spiritual, community and cultural events. It serves the Women's Health Center, Institute for a Sustainable Future and League of Women Voters Duluth. The Building for Women provides low-cost space for small organizations.
