Our mission is to foster belonging, opportunity and systemic change through culturally competent programs, direct community support, advocacyand education rooted in community-identified needs. Deeply rooted in Muslim and AANHPI communities, WBHNY addresses hate, gender-based violence, bias and structural inequities through civic engagement, leadership development, interfaith collaboration and creating safe spaces for women, youth and families. We pair direct services with long-term systems change strategies to equip communities to advocate for themselves and transform inequitable systems. Our vision is a safer, more equitable New York where communities have the resources, voice and power to thrive.
