Since 1950, Texas Baptist Children’s Home has provided a safe, loving home and essential services on its Round Rock campus for vulnerable children and their families. Programs have evolved to meet changing community needs, but children remain at the heart of the mission. Today, the ministry delivers three programs that help increase resiliency and long-term stability for children, families, and young adults. The Family Care Program serves single mothers and their dependent children by providing transitional housing and essential services that help them overcome trauma and equip them to thrive independently. The Home Base Program provides housing, support, and life skills to young adults, ages 18-24, building a bridge to stability for young people who have aged out of group or foster care or who are facing homelessness. The HOPE Program offers no-cost professional counseling from a satellite location in Georgetown to at-risk children, families, and individuals who need access to supportive services. Above all, Texas Baptist Children’s Home works to help those it serves to understand the strength and lasting security that can be found through a relationship with Christ.
