Coastal Sheltie Rescue

A Friendly Note from the Volunteers at Coastal Sheltie Rescue For over 25 years, Coastal Sheltie Rescue has been a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to helping herding breeds find healing, safety, and love. We’ve helped thousands of dogs find carefully chosen homes—and we remain committed to putting each dog’s needs first. Many of the dogs we help come from hoarding, trauma, or neglect cases, so we have firm safety requirements in place: • Secure, fully fenced yards • No open storage or home safety hazards • Calm environments suited to each dog • All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered We understand it can be disappointing to be told “not this time.” But our choices are always made with the dog’s long-term safety and healing in mind. Sometimes, people post negative reviews here after being declined. We don’t respond through Yelp—not because we don’t care, but because our small team of volunteers stays focused on the dogs who need us most. Please note: we’re unable to answer questions or provide updates through Yelp. For accurate info, adoption steps, or help, please visit our website or email us directly. Thank you for your understanding, your kindness, and your support of responsible rescue. —The Coastal Sheltie Rescue Volunteer Team
