Lakeside Special Care Center is a 94 bed secure facility that specializes in the treatment of clients with medical and psychiatric diagnoses. We believe that each resident in our care is unique , with individual needs and requirements. This Philosophy directs our Total Care approach. Total care begins with focus on the medical and psychiatric needs of each our residents, and then continues with attention to their personal, social and spiritual needs as well. It is our goal to maximize the recovery potential of each of our patients through skilled nursing care and occupational and physical therapy to enable them to transition from our acute-care psychiatric treatment program to a residential setting. Located on beautiful grounds, Lakeside Special Care Center is compromised of three cottages that are individually fenced. Residents have freedom to access our park-like grounds that surround their individual cottages. In-house pet therapy is a daily part of our program. The facility also has two vans for transporting residents to appointments and outings. Lakeside SCC has a behavior manager on Staff and most certified nurse assistants are Mental Health Care Worker certified. Our Therapy department is staffed by physical and occupational therapists.
