The Brian Center Health & Retirement, with its facility in Durham, N.C., is a rehabilitation and nursing center. It offers inpatient and outpatient programs for persons recovering from stroke; head; orthopedic and spinal injuries; chronic pain; and other disabling injuries. Its programs include 24-hour nursing care, acute rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation and pain management. It provides physical, occupational and speech therapies and specialized programs, including functional testing, functional restoration and vestibular balance. Additionally, it serves patients recovering from joint replacement, cardiac conditions, arthritis, Parkinson's disease, multiple fractures and respiratory impairments. Its staff includes nurses, physicians and therapists specially trained in rehabilitative care with a multidisciplinary team approach.
