The Transitional Learning Center (TLC) is a comprehensive neuro-rehabilitation program with facilities in Galveston and Lubbock, Texas. We specialize in post-acute care for brain and spinal cord injuries. Our goal is to maximize independent functioning in daily living, work, and leisure in the least restrictive environment, and in the most cost-effective, efficient manner possible. TLC offers Individual Program Plans for each patient, incorporating only the therapies that the individual needs to meet their personal treatment goals.
We are a 120 Bed Licensed Nursing Facility that accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay and Private Insurance. We have been in business for 16 years. We have long term and short term stays available, with a focus on Resident Rehabilitation. We staff full time Physical, Occupational, Speech and Respiratory Therapist. Our planned activities include a weekly happy hour with entertainment, our residents have their own garden on a 2,000 sq. foot screened in patio. Our meals are prepared from scratch and served in an elegant dining room that has a fire place, 15 ft. ceilings, with french doors and a 60 inch flat screen TV.
