JFCS is an independent non-sectarian organization, and our vision is that of a community healed, one person, one family at a time. Our family services of Long Beach and the surrounding areas provide a safe and welcoming place where children, families and individuals can access a wide range of affordable services and support. Our professional staff, graduate, and post-graduate level associates work with adults and children in one-on-one and group settings to strengthen relationships, cope with grief or loss, recover from trauma and manage emotional issues often associated with depression and anxiety. Serving Long Beach and 22 surrounding cities, we help seniors to live with dignity and age safely in their homes. We offer safety and support for victims of domestic violence and their families. We provide children with counseling, art, and play therapy to help them succeed in relationships and at school. More than anything, we offer people the comfort of knowing that they don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.
Confluence Rising (formerly the California Conference for Equality and Justice or CCEJ) is a nonprofit with the mission to educate and empower youth and adults to lead change for equity and justice in our communities. At Confluence Rising, we lead people of all backgrounds in deep examinations of power and privilege at the personal and societal levels, inspiring them to build community across differences and work together to advance equity, inclusion and justice. We create brave spaces for participants to discuss vulnerable topics such as the harmful impacts of racism and discrimination, and to create plans for action and change. Our programs incorporate Restorative Justice practices to support youth and adults to increase their resiliency and ability to address identity-based conflict. We believe that everyone has a role to play in transforming our schools, workplaces and communities to be more just and equitable. The Algalita Marine Research Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the marine environment and its watersheds through research, education, and restoration. We do this by: Conducting research and collaborative studies on (1) Distribution, abundance and fate of marine plastic pollution. (2) Potential harmful effects of plastics in the marine environment, including transference of toxins and their impact on human health.

For more than 129 years, Children's Home Society of California (CHS) has adapted to the changing needs of children and families. Since 1891, CHS has worked diligently to protect the children of our community and strengthen their families through various programs and services. At CHS we do not see a child in isolation, but in the context of each family's health, stability and resources. We believe that families are essentially strong and steadfast. That's why CHS offers programs and services to build on families' inherent strengths so they can achieve self-sufficiency. CHS is a nonprofit, board-regulated organization of dedicated volunteers from across California. The CHS President leads the agency and retains our most important asset: CHS donations. The President oversees program services, agency operations, and program development efforts, as well as program improvement departments such as Community Engagement, Quality Assurance, and Best Practices and Outcomes. This is achieved with the vital help and support of the staff and the work of the highly trained program staff. Our corporate headquarters are located in Los Angeles, California, with additional offices in Long Beach, Oakland, Orange, San Diego, Ventura, Woodland and Yuba City.
