We're a group of people who are trying to follow Jesus honestly, being authentic with God and each other about our hopes and challenges in life. We don't pretend to be perfect. We work to find the people in our community who want to follow Jesus and we take the path ahead together, learning and growing.
The Chabad of the East Valley was founded by Rabbi Mendy Deitsch and his wife Shterna Deitsch in 1997 on West Ray Road. They soon outgrew their former site and moved into a beautiful, 15,000 square feet (1393.55 square meters) Mediterranean villa style building, the Pollack Chabad Center. It is named in honor of Michael Pollack who was the major contributor in building this center. Spread across 2.5 acres (1.01 hectare), the complex consists of a sanctuary/social hall that can accommodate up to 450 people, administrative offices, classrooms, a library, preschool, Hebrew school, playground, garden, kitchen and a gift shop. Its striking octagonal tower features 24 orb windows. They regularly hold adult education classes and holiday programs. This Chabad is affiliated with the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Faith Community is a parish church and religious organization offering spiritual and religious services to the Catholic community in Chandler. With Daily mass at varied timings including a special Youth Mass featuring a Youth choir on Sunday evenings and a Portuguese-Brazilian Mass once a month, the church is very much a part of the community. With participation in several out-reach programs, educational programs, youth clubs and interactive meetings within the area, it is important as both a religious center and a local community space. The beautiful garden is a perfect space for some meditation and an oasis of tranquillity within the grounds.
