A life giving, city influencing, world changing church.
Calvary Chapel Oceanside is on the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Our vision is to create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life-changing reality of the Gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We exist to lead our communities into transformational relationships with Jesus Christ and each other.
We are a non-denominational church that has Bible-based messages, studies, and classes for all ages. People love how friendly and welcomed they feel here, and that this church appeals to multi-generations. If you like traditional worship, you will love our 8:45 a.m. service, which has hymns accompanied by piano and organ and a choir; and if you like contemporary worship, you will love our 10:30 a.m. Sunday service which has a praise band and singers.
Breakwater Community Church was born on June 20, 2017, when a group of twelve individuals met with two officials of the San Diego Southern Baptist Association (SDSBA) to discuss the possibility of a church plant. At the meeting, Associational leadership gave the green light to proceed, and Roger VanDerWerken agreed to serve as the founding pastor.
