This is a movement to curtail Gang member activity in our streets by pushing the Federal Government to reclassify Documented Gang Members as Domestic Terrorists. What this does is force all designated members of gangs to be placed in a status of restrictions, mandates and apprehension by the Federal Government. Documented Gang Members need to know that it's no longer allowed or considered okay when you kill us. This time we want to debut a system of apprehension of all Documented Gang Members as enemy combatants of Urban America. Apprehension should involve taking the fight to Documented Gang Members in such a way that it weeds them out of hiding places like their Elderly Grandparents, Parents, peers, family and friends house. This system of apprehension sets a platform up for Documented Gang Members to be considered liable for charges just for association alone.
Silverside Church is a diverse congregation in every sense of the word. We have no interest in orthodoxy; not surprisingly, then, the theological outlooks of those in our church family range from somewhat traditional-ish (though never dogmatic) to wildly liberal. In some respect, nonetheless, we would all claim to be followers of Jesus of Nazareth. We have unfailing enthusiasm for the quality of spiritual journeys, which continue throughout our lives; and we love supporting one another on our various journeys toward truth, inner peace, and joy. As for destinations...not so much.
Jesus! The Gospel! The Word of God! Gifts of the Holy Spirit!
