Our mission is to spread the message of faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ by equipping disciples to engage the community, locally, and globally, for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God. Shiloh Baptist Church has been pointing souls to a better religious, social, and economic life since its beginning in 1863. By doing so, we are living in hope of a far greater life in the Promised Land.
Our services tend to be pretty simple. We pray, because we believe that God is our provider and that He desires us to seek after Him. We sing, because God is worthy of our praise. We preach God's Word, because we believe that God gives life through His Scriptures. We proclaim the Gospel, because it is the message of salvation for those who don't know God and the message of strength for those who do know Him. We talk a lot about Jesus, because He is the only hope for the world.
The Kingstowne Communion is a new United Methodist Church in the Kingstowne area that seeks to bring people into communion with Jesus Christ through courageous conversation, creative community, and collaborating for the common good. We are best known throughout the community for Pub Theology (which we host at Fiona's Irish Pub), Beer & Hymns (while we host at Burton's Grill), and our community events/service opportunities (which we host Nalls Produce & our local elementary schools).
