Kiwanis clubs are volunteer-based. Traditionally, club meetings take place once a week and offer an atmosphere of fun, learning and fellowship. Kiwanis members typically volunteer each month to assist with club service projects. In a typical year, Kiwanis clubs worldwide organize more than 150,000 service projects--both locally and globally--and Kiwanis members dedicate more than 12 million hours of service. Georgetown Country Club is a member-owned and operated recreational facility that offers a range of social interaction opportunities. The club features a swimming pool, 9-hole golf course and tennis courts. Georgetown Country Club organizes various outings, tournaments and leagues. The club can accommodate up to 100 guests and is available on rent for organizing several formal and informal events, such as birthday parties and meetings. Established in 1970, Georgetown Country Club conducts a water fitness program for swimmers and nonswimmers. The club provides membership opportunities, as well as maintains a pro shop.
