When you arrive, Damien greets you personally and takes the time to understand exactly what's bringing you in. For pain and movement issues, he conducts both a visual and physical assessment — observing how your body compensates, identifying which muscle groups have become exhausted and restricted, and locating the actual source of your discomfort rather than just the place where it hurts. Once the assessment is complete, Damien explains what he's found and walks you through his plan of approach before the session begins. You'll understand what's happening in your body and why — often for the first time. That's the difference between a massage and a solution. The Unwinding Process Using trigger point therapy, deep tissue work, and pin-and-stretch techniques, Damien systematically unwinds the layers of tension that are driving your pain and limiting your movement. He works from the outside in — releasing the surrounding muscle groups that have been overworking to compensate, until he reaches the original source of the problem. Clients frequently describe techniques they've never experienced before. That's intentional. Damien has spent 15 years developing a clinical approach that goes beyond what most massage therapists are trained to do.
