Oregon Kids Pediatric Dentistry was built using as many renewable resources as possible, has ventilation to reduce air stagnation and is filled with energy saving appliances and light fixtures. In addition to the building, our dental materials are selected with the environment in mind. We do not use "mercury" fillings and don't use chemical development of x-rays to reduce toxic environmental waste. Something you may notice at Oregon Kids Pediatric Dentistry is more re-usable materials compared to some other practices. Instead of using "one time use" disposable items for simplicity, we abide by very strict sterilization techniques so we can recycle re-usable items to reduce our contribution to landfills. And though plastic is still used in our office, we are making every effort to eliminate it wherever we can.
