Phillip A. Bostian, MD is a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. He has a special emphasis on rapid recovery and innovative techniques to improve outcomes and get patients back moving as soon as possible. Dr. Bostian has advanced training in revision knee and hip replacement, and welcomes all patients with complex or painful joint replacements. He is available to see patients in Hickory and Newton.
Dr. Benjamin D. Umbel is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Umbel strongly believes establishing a trusting relationship with his patients and advocating for their needs should be at the center of their orthopedic care. He completed medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, VA. Following medical school, Dr. Umbel spent 5 years in Columbus, OH at OhioHealth where he successfully completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery. He completed a Foot and Ankle fellowship at the prestigious Duke University Medical Center.
