Dr. Elliott Kim specializes in orthopaedic spine surgery and is currently seeing patients at Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics' Franklin, Centennial and Brentwood locations. Dr. Elliott Kim was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. He earned his B.A. degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology High Honors and Philosophy at Vanderbilt University where he graduated summa cum laude. He then went on to earn his medical degree at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. Dr. Kim completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt Orthopaedics. He completed his training with a spine surgery fellowship at the Emory Orthopaedics and Spine Center in Atlanta, GA. As a spine surgeon, Dr. Kim has studied complex degenerative, traumatic, and deformity conditions of the spine as well as revision spine procedures. During his fellowship and residency, he trained extensively in motion-sparing surgery, minimally invasive spine procedures, spine trauma, fusion surgeries, revision surgeries, as well as deformity correction. He has interests in spine technology, minimally invasive procedures, and surgical care focused on decreasing hospital length of stay and recovery time. He has authored numerous publications, textbook chapters, and presented research at national symposiums. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and North American Spine Society.
