Dr. Weinheimer grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas, in a cattle-ranching family. He received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University in 2007 and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern in 2013. He then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Pennsylvania State University and his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. With a background in engineering and specialized training in hand and upper extremity surgery, Dr. Weinheimer is uniquely qualified to treat an array of orthopedic conditions. In addition to general orthopedic care, he routinely diagnoses and treats patients affected by conditions like arthritis, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, and rotator cuff tears, among others. He lives in Amarillo with his wife, Dr. Rachel Weinheimer, an Amarillo native and a colon and rectal surgeon with Texas Oncology.
