Katharine has always wanted to work in healthcare, and realized early on that hands-on, direct patient care was her passion. Becoming a certified nurse practitioner allowed her to expand her skill set to include diagnosis, treatment, and consultations. For Katharine, the best part of coming to work each day is connecting with her colleagues and having the opportunity to meet and speak with patients. She feels very fortunate to have had excellent mentors throughout her professional and personal life that pushed her to excel and strive for excellence in life. In her free time, Katharine enjoys traveling and outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and anything to do with water; she also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity.
With over 22 years of experience, Christine believes that becoming a family nurse practitioner has allowed her to empower patients to be their healthiest selves. Christine credits her parents as the biggest influence in her life. My mom taught me to think of others first, work hard, and accept and love all people. My dad taught me to have gratitude for every day. In her free time, Christine volunteers with the Girl Scouts and enjoys hiking, running and spending time with her family. I try to truly listen to patients and treat others as I would want my own family treated. I believe in individualized care that considers the whole person.
Catherine has always loved working with children and their families to help them be as happy and healthy as possible. Growing up, Catherines father emphasized being kind to everyone and to have a strong work ethic. Prior to going to nursing school, Catherine was a neonatal and pediatric respiratory therapist and an RN in a pediatric intensive care unit, which paved the way for her to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. One of her favorite things about coming to work every day is to meet newborns on their birthday! Outside of work, Catherine volunteers at a local elementary schools reading program and the Kent County Humane Society.

Steve chose the nursing profession so he could use a holistic approach to care to help facilitate positive changes for patients. For the last 15 years in the orthopedics specialty, it has been very rewarding for Steve to see patients improve their overall quality of life and functionality. On a day-to-day basis, Steve enjoys interacting with diverse populations. Steve attributes his father as being the biggest influence in his life. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, along with camping and golfing. Steve is an adjunct faculty member with Spring Arbor University's Nurse Practitioner program. I feel treating patients requires a holistic approach to ensure the best possible outcome.
The biggest influence in Jordans life was his grandfather. Before his grandfather passed away, he was lying on the hospital bed and gave Jordan the strongest hug he has ever had. He told Jordan to work hard in life and never give up; Jordan strives to follow these sentiments. Jordan knew he wanted to help people so he chose nursing as a career after his brother went into the profession. When Jordan first became a nurse, he became impressed with the world of orthopedics and admired the physicians work ethic and their efficiency. Jordan then pursued his nurse practitioner certification. The more you educate a patient, the better they are able to care for themselves.
