Established with the merger of Christ s Hospital and Jane C. Stormont Hospital and Training School for Nurses, Stormont-Vail Regional HealthCare manages Kansas second-oldest hospital, Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. The center has nearly 600 beds and serves as an acute-care referral center for northeastern Kansas. Its areas of expertise include behavioral health, birthing, cancer, critical care, diabetes, emergency care, heart care, orthopedics, pediatrics, radiology, rehabilitation, surgery and weight management. Stormont-Vail Regional HealthCare s other facilities include Cotton-O Neil Clinic, Cotton-O Neil Digestive Health Center, Cotton-O Neil Heart Center, the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, PediatricCare, Stormont-Vail West, Stormont-Vail WorkCare and Topeka Single Day Surgery. Stormont-Vail Regional HealthCare has headquarters in Topeka, Kan. It also maintains Stormont-Vail Foundation, which raises charitable contributions that are used to fund programs and services at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center.
