We are a group of licensed therapists who are passionate about working with millennial's (18 years old-33 years old). Our expertise is providing holistic counseling to overwhelming life transitions. We offer a compassionate approach, combined with dynamic collaboration to help you develop skills and tools to apply immediately to your life. We provide virtual and phone counseling, as well as, in-person counseling located in down town Santa Cruz.
Roots Collaborative gives individuals and families a safe, healthy and constructive environment to start their recovery paths. As Certified ARISE Interventionists (CAI), we are trained and believe in the invitational intervention model, which invites the entire family network to participate in the process, including the family member with whom we are acutely concerned. Having been in our clients' shoes, we intimately understand how difficult it is to face intervening with a loved one. Our Roots team brings over 55 years of sobriety within our multigenerational family to the table. Between all of us, we've played almost every role within our family system (father, mother, daughter, sister, brother, spouse...), and that is why our clients say they love working with us - we get it! We strongly encourage everyone in the family, including close friends, to become engaged in the recovery process. The best results are gleaned when each family member learns the facts about substance abuse and any co-occurring disorders, the struggle their loved one is currently experiencing, and begins to own how they may personally be impacted by the illness and the family's genetic history. With this new awareness, each member can start to identify the personal support needed to play an active role in their own journey toward health.
