X-Ray, CT, and MRI Center was founded in 1981 and is the oldest and the largest privately owned imaging center in the area. The practice began when Radiologist Dr. Parviz Khorrami decided to leave the hospital system and open his own practice. He opened a small office on Route 37 with a single X-ray machine. Dr. Parviz Khorrami has slowly built his practice up over the last 30 years to now having over 40 employees and offering all imaging modalities. The team at Toms River X-Ray is now run by his son, Dr. Cyrus Khorrami, who completed his Radiology residency at Cooper University Hospital. Patients will immediately feel a different level of comfort when treated at Toms River X-Ray, CT, and MRI Center. Large corporations or hospitals run most radiology practices, but Toms River X-Ray is a family-run practice. There used to be lots of privately owned radiology centers. Over the years, it because harder and harder to stay independent. Those other family run, privately-owned centers either closed down or were absorbed by larger radiology groups. It is a story we have all seen a million times. The family owned stores cannot compete with the corporate chains.

In addition to the on-site outpatient service center within the hospital, Community Medical Center offers outpatient laboratory facilities throughout Ocean County. Each site is staffed by trained phlebotomists, and is equipped to handle outpatient laboratory needs.
