I was first drawn to birth work in 2020 when I became pregnant with my daughter. During that sacred season, the Lord opened my eyes to the beauty and strength of motherhood. As a follower of Christ, I believe that God intentionally designed women with the divine ability to bring life into the world — a calling that is both powerful and deeply sacred. Through my own journey, I educated myself on all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. After struggling with breastfeeding for nearly two months, I taught myself how to breastfeed successfully and went on to nurse my daughter for over two years. That experience ignited my passion for helping other mothers find confidence and peace in their own journeys. My approach is rooted in nurturing the mother while also supporting and strengthening the family as a whole. I’ve received lactation training through UC San Diego Extended Studies and am now a Lactation Education Counselor. I’m honored to walk alongside families through pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and beyond — providing compassionate care, education, and encouragement every step of the way.
Ellie is a private practice certified nurse midwife welcoming babies and celebrating new families at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley, CA. Ellie provides prenatal care that focuses on the health of the mother and fetus as well as the transition and adjustment into parenting. Birth hopes and desires as well as education on birth are discussed in half hour prenatal visits. At the hospital, focused care and individual attention continues with the goal of providing a safe and satisfying birth for mother, baby and partner. Such care continues into the postpartum period with visits at 2 weeks and 6 weeks.
