After our move to Portland, I became a certified Postpartum Doula, Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor and Hypno-doula within the year. In addition, I went back to school to complete a certification in Human Lactation through the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health Pathway Two Program. I will be sitting for the board exam to become an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) in 2019. Additionally, I am working towards a certification in Infant Craniosacral Therapy under the Carol Gray Center for CST Studies. My training, education, and experience includes extensive breastfeeding support, birth planning, postpartum mood disorders, placenta medicine, baby wearing, and more. I also volunteer my time as a peer counselor, member education coordinator, and board member with The Nursing Mother's Counsel of Oregon, a local non-profit providing breastfeeding support to moms; and as a peer counselor and support group facilitator with Baby Blues Connection, providing support to families coping with pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders in the Portland-metro area.
