In addition, we provide a nesting package that prepares for baby's arrival and create diaper caddies to help ease the stress of birthing person. We also provide lawn care, pet care, nourishing prepared and delivered meals, crib/bassinet setup, and carseat installation.

Looking for a midwife? Roxanne Anderson (LM, CPM) provides full prenatal, labor and delivery and postpartum care for both home births and birth center births in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Care includes lab work, nutritional and lifestyle counselling, childbirth classes, a personalized birth plan, and in-home postpartum care. Family involvement is encouraged and choices include water birth, delayed cord clamping and use of essential oils. Informed consent is emphasized and you are encouraged to make the best choices for yourself, your birth and your baby, with all latest information.
We were the very first free-standing birthing center in the state of Texas, established by midwife Helen Jolly Nelson in 1979. We have been open continually for 37 years in our original location, and our staff midwives have delivered over 5,000 babies. Family Birth Services is a state licensed birth center staffed with licensed midwives that offer many choices. All of our clients benefit from a personalized care plan, flexible appointment times, continuity of care from a specific midwife, childbirth education classes, and the choice of either a birthing center birth in one of our three cozy birthing rooms, or a home birth in the comfort of your own surroundings. We also offer a water birth option in either location.

Since opening in May of 2005, 100 little ladies and 129 little gentlemenhave been born at the center. In addition to checking up on newborn babies and their moms, seeing three dozen (or so) expectant moms, and doing annual Gyn checkups, we are offering childbirth, childcare and lactation classes. Things are busy, but we always have time to meet you for your well-woman Gyn or Ob visit. To make an appointment or just ask a question, please give us a call. Our office hours are 9: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. - Monday through Friday. Our office is closed weekends.
