Rubicon's Edge is an End-of-Life Doula Service, creating personalized plans with your desires in mind; from dealing with a serious diagnosis, making sure your advanced planning for medical and legal needs is in place, conducting a life review and determining your legacy, how you want to be remembered by the world, through creating a vigil or end of life plan that meets your desires, and finally assisting your family after you are gone. An End of Life Doula (sometimes referred to as “Death Doula,” “End-of-Life Coach” or “Death Midwife”) is a non-medical professional trained to assist a dying person and their family during their final stage of life. Doulas are trained to advocate for the dying person’s wishes and needs while working together with healthcare providers, hospice teams, caregivers, and loved ones.
