Dr. Leonard Pack retired and left his beloved practice, Pack Optical, in the trusted hands of friend and experienced fellow optometrist, Dr. Poonawala. She graduated from Baylor University in Baylor, Texas, before pursuing her doctor of optometry degree at the University of the Incarnate Word, Rosenberg School of Optometry, in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her clinical externships at Community Eye Care in Fort Worth, and the VA Viera Outpatient Clinic in Melbourne, Florida, where she had the privilege of treating retired military members. Through these experiences, Dr. Poonawala underwent extensive training in the management of ocular diseases, including macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, keratoconus, and a number of red eye conditions.
