La Playa is an artisan method of creating Mexican ice cream and popsicles (paletas), and it is an informal, family-owned business. We are the 3rd and 4th generation of Mexican paleteros and heladeros, bringing our family recipe from Tocumbo, Michoacán, Mexico, to the beautiful city of San Antonio, TX. Our mission is to spread our love by making incredible ice cream and paletas, using only fresh fruit and natural ingredients.
