tripadvisorThis was voted 'Best Art Gallery in Portland' by Down East Magazine and the Portland Press Herald. We thought it was okay. We went during the 2024 Holiday Show exhibit. We liked a few of the paintings very much but thought others were too abstract. To each his/her own, though. It's fine art with prices to match.
MoreThis is a beautiful gallery in the Old Port. The artwork is displayed well and the variety is great. I went this past Wednesday to hear Colin Page speak. It was an interesting and impressive talk. There was ample time to take in the gallery after the talk.
MoreThis was the best art gallery I visited in Portland. It has an excellent variety. It's not all seaside-and-boat paintings (not that there's anything wrong with those) like some of the other galleries. The paintings and sculptures are modern and lively and they are mainly representational though there are some abstract works as well. The prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly but not all over you, and I stayed quite a while enjoying the art. I really wanted to buy something there but I just bought something on my last trip so my art budget was busted!
MoreWonderful selection of art for sale at all prices. Spacious showroom, pleasant and helpful staff. Onstreet parking.
MoreThis gallery has a good display of traditional, modern and abstract art. There’s a section at the front of the gallery where you can select custom frames. Fun to spend an hour or so enjoying the displays.
