tripadvisorUpdate: I can't get enough of this park, it's so beautiful and always something new to see. Everytime I visit my daughter I make it a point on planning a day to come here. PS remember to take your trash with you if you can't find a garbage can in the area.
MoreI've visited this park three times, and sadly, only the first trip was enjoyable. The natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere I initially experienced has since been overshadowed by chaos and lack of oversight. During my last two visits, the area was overrun with disruptive groups of teens and young adults. Loud, unruly behavior seemed rampant, and unfortunately, bullying families appeared to be a pastime for some. The river, once a picturesque part of the landscape, now resembles a neglected sewer—murky, unpleasant, and far from inviting. What’s most alarming is the total absence of park staff or any visible law enforcement presence. There were no park rangers or authorities around to ensure safety or intervene when things got out of hand. It’s a real shame to see a place with so much potential become an uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience. I won’t be returning any time soon.
MoreHighly scenic spot right in northwest Philadelphia. Fantastic rock formations, large trees, ferns and fungi. Trails appear well maintained and clearly marked.
MoreThis is my fourth time visiting this park and I always explore a different area ( mind you this pak is huge; 2,000 acres) and each time I fall in love all over again. It's so beautiful, peaceful and well kept. Depending the area you are visiting parking can getva little tricky. Everything is about planning accordingly and you'll have a great time. Remember to wear comfortable shoes, take plenty of water and don't leave your trash behind.
MoreWe had a delightful walk on paved trail along a the river. There were deer on off the trail. It is natural area. It would be nice if there were benches.
