This park has been much improved over the years. Great, peaceful hiking trails along Oyster Creek and around White Lake. Also, don't forget to visit the largest Pecan tree in Sugar Land. Today, we saw a mama gator and 12 babies (about 6 months old). Lots of ducks and a few other birds populated the lake area.

Makes me so sad that so many trees were taken out to put in a parking lot. I was there on a Saturday, early afternoon and the old lot was not full. And there were only 2 cars parked in the stark, glaring new lot. And the trees are gone. And sadly, due to freeze and drought, many pines had to come down too. Hopefully there will be a huge replanting campaign.Trail signage is still lacking in my opinion. Yet, there are countless “no parking at any time” signs littering (IMO) the park. I am sure there are rules and that a sign needs to be placed accordingly at certain distances, but really?!Other than that, this is a stunning park. I always enjoy my time there. Especially enjoy watching the changing seasons and seeing the plant life.It was wonderful seeing the drought stricken lake once again full of lily pads and wildlife. Please don’t take out any more trees if it can be helped.

First time visit here. There are plenty of trails, paved and unpaved, all well signposted. Large parking area as well. When I went, there were a few people fishing at the lake and plenty of wading birds. There were lots of picnic tables by the main car park.

Mostly dirt trails, but there are newer paved sections. Lots of shade. Opportunities for wildlife viewing around the pond. There is plenty of parking and good restroom facilities.

A very well maintained free community park. Would be a good place to let the kids stretch their legs and walk up a solid platform viewing tower to get a good view. There are a few alligators to find in the wetland marsh, and a few birds. Nothing spectacular, but nice for a local park.
