O'steen's is a local favorite, and on some evenings it may be difficult to get a table for all the natives packing the tables. Their claim to fame is their fried shrimp, and though their claim that it's the best in the world may be somewhat overstated, you'll definitely be hard-pressed to remember when you've had better. Several dishes also feature local specialties like the famous Datil peppers that have been grown in St. Augustine for generations.
