Known as Indiana's oldest bar, The Slippery Noodle Inn has seen its share of action. It's a hub for blues in the area, and it has been home to countless wild shows over the years. There's still live blues being played seven days a week. Being located in a great sports town, the Noodle makes itself available to sports fans as well, hosting many a celebration. Even when there's nothing going on, the place is still packed with happy diners and drinkers chowing down on the hearty menu, featuring everything from traditional bar fare to steaks and pastas, and drinking everything from martinis to micro brews.

tripadvisorWasn't sure what to expect. Good vibe for 170 yr old location. I would recommend highly. Good food too with two locations for music.
MoreGreat historical Bar. They have good bar food. My margarita was terrible, in fact unsinkable. Stick to beer.I was there after a Chiefs vs Colts game and the place was slammed! Cheeseburger was good, however, the menu states Burgers come with chips. I ordered a burger and onion rings, I got a burger, French fries and onion rings. I was charged for the burger with additional charges for fries (I did not order) and onion rings (I did order as a substitution price per menu but was charged full price). Again they were slammed and working at a fast pace. I chalked it up as a lesson on my part and did not complainThe property is on the Historical Register.
MoreOur second visit to the Inn was like deja vu all over again as the great Yogi Berra once put it. We again got there on a Saturday afternoon a couple of hours before live music and (ahead of the rush of people who closed out the 25th Annual Irish Fest). Free parking onsite if you get there early. I think there's free street parking, as well. Although the Inn features large dining areas where one can hear blues, we again opted to stay at a table in the cozy bar on the South Street-side. We got the same great (military reservist) bar tender (Foodie sez he's cute.) and again had delicious meals. The bar appears to be frequented more by regular patrons and/or couples there as singles or couples. Foodie was entertained by the other patrons. Vegetarian enjoyed people watching pedestrians. Staff is welcoming and the back bar is interesting. Good selection of beverages (as one might expect) and food quality/quantity was good. Slippery Noodle Inn is at the southern edge of downtown Indianspolis .For those interested in Indy history, this is reputed to be the oldest continuously operated bar in the city.
MoreLou was great! Ordered wings and refreshments. big thanks for taking care of our table and making us feel safe.
MoreWas in town for PRI. We had a group of 20 and call to try and make a reservation. We were told they didn’t accept reservations which was ok we showed up at 6:45. When we arrived the bartender in front and waitress in hall told us to go up stairs. After getting upstairs the staff (guessing the manager and the bartender) was so rude that we got our things and left. Super disappointed because we loved coming here every year and had told our friends about it. Everyone was excited for food and music..but we will never go back.
